And the day before, on June 1, the Ruslan Rotan Ward defeated the Faroe Islands 4-0 on the road. Supergaga, Bondarenko, Vivcharenko and Sudakov scored for the Blues.
After seven games, the Ukrainian national team finished second in Group H with 16 points.
Theoretically, Rotan’s team will have the opportunity to finish first. For that, it is necessary to win three games in the remaining matches, and the French must lose by six goals. On the other hand, you should expect France to lose the game against Armenia but still be sure to win three matches.
What happens in the round? The eight teams that finish second in their division will form four pairs. Four participants will be determined by Euro 2023 based on the results of the round-robin conflict. A drop-off is done June 21, 2022.
The rest of Ukraine’s U-21 matches will be played.
- June 5 Ukraine – Northern Macedonia
- June 9 Ukraine – France
