Society has taught women to wear bras, so most wear them without even thinking about it. As a marketing tactic, bras are a way to relieve back pain, support and lift breasts. However, some believe that the real goal is to be socially acceptable.
Bras may be designed for exercise, but wearing them all the time can do more harm than good. Going braless after a shot may be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. If you work outside the home, you may need to wear a bra, but any other time you can decide for yourself.
To prove this, scientists studied why women don’t need bras. According to this study, underwear has no health or anatomical benefits for women. Research shows that they do exactly the opposite of what marketing tactics suggest. Instead of providing support, they cause the breasts to sag and prevent growth.
Research on whether women should wear bras
In the study, 330 volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35 measured their breast size for 15 years. Women who did not wear bras increased their breasts by seven millimeters per year. This lift debunks the notion that breasts sag without a bra.
And women who don’t wear bras have fewer stretch marks than women who do. Their breasts were firmer than the women who wore them.
This research completely contradicts the advice that women have been hearing all their lives. After ruling out the reason for wearing a bra, studies have shown that not wearing a bra actually leads to better posture because bras don’t provide all the support. It also supports your body by developing the muscles under your breasts, preventing them from sagging.
In other words, without a bra, the body must use muscles designed to prevent the breasts from sagging. When the bra does all the work, the muscles in a woman’s body are underutilized.
One woman in the study said that after two years of not wearing a bra, her breathing improved, her posture improved, and her back ached less. From her experience, what we hear about these underwear is not true. They don’t always reduce breast or back pain, making them useless to women who use them.
